Yes, I think it’s safe to say that Copilot is based mostly on code written by people. I’m not entirely sure what you’re suggesting, though. Would you be able to elaborate?
What I’m thinking is that _all_ code is based off code written by other people. The code that I output is a function of all the code I’ve read and digested from lots of other people. For me at least, this does not reduce the value of my output, it’s just the reality of the situation.
Additionally, modern AIs may be initially developed using human generated output, but is generally then fine tuned and grown using additional AI generated output in a type of network called a GANN (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generative_adversarial_network). Thus, the AI uses more and more AI generated output as time goes on. Eventually, presumably, the amount of human generated input to the AI becomes insignificant.
